Phase 1 of this work included conducting a physical assessment of each of the school buildings. As a result of this work each school received a numeric value that indicates the strength of its infrastructure.
Phase 2 evaluated each buildings potential to deliver the programming it was designed to support.
Phase 3 was conducted to receive public comments about Norfolk Public Schools.
Phase 4 was the development of a master facility planning document.
The Norfolk School Board has scheduled a work session on August 20, 2007 at 5:00 P.M. to review and discuss this document.

Now that summer is winding down, it is time to start thinking about the upcoming school year. Students will return to classes on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007. The entire Norfolk Public Schools family is looking forward to an exciting and productive year of teaching and learning. If you have a child that is starting school this year, the links below will offer you information on enrollment requirements, health entrance requirements, and other pertinent information you will need before school starts. Dreamkeepers Academy at J.J. Roberts Elementary School recently received notification that the school is one of approximately 100 from around the United States as well as from Canada, Mexico and Singapore to be recognized for “Promising Practices” in character education.
