Dodson Scholars Mentor at Larrymore Elementary School

Dodson Scholars Mentor at Larrymore Elementary School

Each week, a group of young boys at Larrymore Elementary School is mentored by members of the Norview High School Dodson Scholars. The Dodson Scholars is a club comprised of African American male students who are striving to graduate from high school with honors. Each mentor is matched with a child who has similar interests or backgrounds. Since the volunteers started mentoring their young counterparts at Larrymore, the staff has seen positive changes in their boys. There has been an increase in confidence and an improvement in behavior and grades.
