How much do you know about the services offered to your family by community agencies? The Norfolk Public Schools Department of Special Education Services is sponsoring another Transition Bus Tour to help parents of students with special needs learn about programs and services accessible to them.
The Special Education Department has held the tours before, and parents have given positive feedback about the information they received.
On June 4, 2012 from 8:15 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., the bus tour will take registrants to visit the Arc of the Peninsula, the Hope House Foundation, and Merrill Lynch, which will offer information about special financial planning for people with disabilities.
Lunch will be provided. Please register no later than May 21 by contacting Dionne May, NPS’ Transition Community Liaison, at (757) 852-4674, Ext. 3085, or via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
Registered participants are asked to meet by 8:15 a.m. at the Rosemont Center at 7000 West Tanners Creek Road in Norfolk. The bus will leave promptly at 8:30 am.
