Norfolk Education Foundation will launch a community-wide campaign to raise funds in support of our children in Norfolk Public Schools on Thursday, Aug. 23 at 9:45 a.m. at Norview High School. Community members, parents, grandparents, alumni, citizens of the Greater Hampton Roads region and supporters of quality public education in Norfolk are encouraged to attend this event.
The goal of the NEF’s “A Million Reasons” campaign is to raise $275,000 in its first year to support their overall long-range goal of raising $1 million dollars. The focus of this campaign is to help fund programs that will enable the children of Norfolk to reach higher and go further to attain their educational goals.
The NEF believes that “Strong schools in Norfolk will equate to a stronger community,” and with the support of the Norfolk Public Schools, we can give our children the opportunity to Grow Big Dreams for a brighter future.
During the event, additional information will be provided about the campaign, as well as pledge commitments from several donors.
