TITLE: Parent Liaison, Ingleside Elementary School

YEARS WITH NPS: 10 wonderful years

WHAT’S THE MOST REWARDING THING ABOUT WHAT YOU DO?

I enjoy planning events such as luncheons for grandparents, moms and dads, as well as Ingleside’s Annual Fun Day. These events allow me to build a bond between the parents/community and the school.

IF YOU COULD TELL THE WHOLE COMMUNITY ONE THING ABOUT NPS, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I would tell the community that it is very important to support the vision and mission of Norfolk Public Schools because our students are our future.

WHAT’S SOMETHING YOUR COWORKERS DO NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU?

My coworkers do not know that I had the exciting pleasure of climbing to the top of Dunes Fall in Jamaica last summer. Also, they may not know that I am currently attending Tidewater Community College and plan to attend Norfolk State University upon completion.

WHAT WAS A RECENT BOOK YOU READ OR MOVIE YOU SAW, AND WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS?

"The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader," and yes, I would highly recommend it to others. It was REALLY GOOD!

DID YOU ATTEND NORFOLK PUBLIC SCHOOLS?

No, but both of my children are graduates of Norfolk Public Schools. They graduated from Lake Taylor High School.
